Resumen:
The different photophysical and photochemical properties of many nanosystems (NS) haveallowed the development of nanomedicine as an effective tool in the detection (diagnosis) andphototherapeutic treatment of diseases. Recent studies have been developed regarding the useof NS for the therapeutic treatment of neoplastic diseases. This treatment is known asphotothermal therapy, because is the relaxation of the excited state that generates a localincrease in the temperature of NS. Because of this, the study of the photoacoustic (PA) andphotothermal properties of different NS is fundamental for their understanding. Previousstudies have shown that nanoaggregates plasmons have an increase of the electric field in thegap zone. This increase in the field could lead to a localized increase in temperature and, therefore, an increase in the PA signal. At the same time when the aggregate gets larger theelectric field diminish [1].In this work the aggregation process in nanoparticles (NPs) by cationic complexes are studiedby laser-induced PA measurements. The systems studied are Gold Nps (AuNPs) of diffentessizes with Ru(II) complex acting as an aggregation agent.Figure 1 shows the linear relationship between the amplitude of the first PA signals (H) as afunction of laser fluence for increasing solutions of different aggregation Au-Nps in water.
